At the Commission level, DG TAXUD ensures the follow-up of the project actions and encourages the spreading of best practices and knowledge developed by EUCAB. At the same time the work of EUCAB expert team supports the activities of law enforcement agencies and working groups at EU level, while ensuring their alignment and synergies.

The Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) is responsible for EU policies on taxation and customs. It has a critical role in supporting a swift economic recovery and the transition to a greener, digitalised and fairer economy in the EU. DG TAXUD works to ensure that taxation and customs deliver on the Union’s priorities and provide the revenues needed to fund European investment and growth.

EUCAB benefits from building on the methodology and success of the European Ports Alliance Customs Expert Group and the expert team continues the work initiated under the Port Alliance project group, along with European Ports Alliance Public-Private Partnership.
