In June, the 𝗛𝗥, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 under the EUCAB Support Unit launched the practical work of its first two dedicated subnetworks — creating a platform for customs experts from across Member States to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges, and strengthen integrity and resilience in everyday customs work.

🔎 On 3 June 2026, the 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗥-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 focused on how recruitment, training, staff well-being, organisational culture, and HR processes can support integrity and resilience within customs administrations.

🤝 On 9 June 2026, the 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 exchanged views on corruption-related risks, reporting mechanisms, whistleblowing systems, internal audit practices, and lessons learned from national experience.

💡 One message stood out clearly: 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆, 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔, 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆.

By their active participation, experts from Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania expressed their commitment to continue valuing EUCAB’s framework to promote standards on customs’ integrity, through exchanges of good practices and practical guidance.

Step by step, EUCAB’s networks are helping build a stronger, more resilient, and integrity-driven customs community across Europe.
