Taking into account the existing capacities of Member States’ customs administrations, it will strengthen efficient operational cooperation between Member States’ customs administrations, relevant authorities and the private sector. It will thus enhance the protection of the EU and its Member States through effective customs control activities in passenger, cargo, express courier and postal flows.
